My story - Shot by Shot
I’ve been passionate about golf for as long as I can remember — though my family would probably say obsessed is the better word. I live in Sydney with my wife and three daughters (none of whom play yet, but that’s still a work in progress) and currently play off a 12 handicap, having once been as low as 6.
Golf has always been more than just a game for me. It’s a test of patience, creativity, and resilience — and it’s the friendships, stories, and moments on the course that make it so special. Whether it’s a Sunday round with mates or watching the pros compete on the biggest stage, I’ve always loved the mix of skill, strategy, and emotion that golf delivers.
Over time, I wanted to find a way to get more involved in the game I love — beyond simply playing and following it. Turning professional was never on the cards, and while I’ve thought about caddying, writing about golf felt like the best fit.
That’s how OzzieGolf was born — a place to share stories, reports, and reflections from across professional and elite golf, with a particular focus on Australian and New Zealand players. The goal is simple: to celebrate the people, performances, and passion that make golf one of the world’s truly great sports.
