Kelsey Bennett Looks Ahead
All golfers are looking to improve and Ozzie golfer Kelsey Bennett is no exception. Talking to Ozziegolf Bennett reflects on last year and sets out her goals for this season.

Bennett Focused on the End Game
Ozzie Kelsey Bennet has her sights firmly set on transitioning to the LPGA.
Talking to Ozziegolf Bennett reflected on her 2025 season “We were pretty stoked with it, It was the first full season…it was a nothing to lose type of season and it worked out well.” When asked about goals this season Bennett confirm that winning and “just to get LPGA status” was what was on the radar.
To get to the LPGA Bennett must win one of the co-sanctioned events or finish in the top 10 on the Order of Merit and then play her way through LPGA Q series.
The co-sanctioned events are the Aramco Championship played in Las Vegas in the first week of April and the Scottish Open played at Dundonald Links in late July.
There are also the Majors but they are hard to get into from the LET. Unless she can secure a win early in the season then Bennett would have to pre-qualify for both the AIG Women’s Open and the US Open. Already being in the UK for the Scottish Open makes the decision about pre-qualifying for the British Open a bit easier but the journey to the USA for US Open pre-qualifying is obviously a bigger commitment.
For the Amundi Evian Championship Bennett will need to be in the top 7 on the order of merit (not otherwise exempt) when entries close.
If Bennett finishes in the top 10 of the Order of Merit at seasons end, she will earn direct entry to the final stage of LPGA Q Series. Last December 9 of the top 10 teed it up in final stage and 5 of them earned their LPGA card. (other LET players also earned cards but had different paths to final stage).
With a T12 finish in the first tournament of the year in Riyadh and T8 last week in Wollongong Bennett sits at 7th on the Order of Merit. Bennett told Ozziegolf that her “game is feeling really good. We’ve been working really hard on it, so it was nice to see some putts drop for the 2 weeks and consistently have some deeper under-par rounds.” Bennetts final round in Riyadh was only bettered by Charlie Hull.

Whilst it is early in the season, Bennett finds herself in exactly the place she needs to be – maintaining that position is the objective and Bennett has the game, and with a full season under her belt, the experience, to achieve her goals. Hopefully we keep seeing that familiar smile and that W next to her name some time this year.
