Laurie Canter Goes Back to LIV

After a week or so of rumour and speculation Laurie Canter has confirmed that he is returning to LIV Golf as a member of The Majesticks. Canter will join his countrymen Lee Westwood, Ian Poulter and Sam Horsfield. Former co-captain Henrik Stenson was relegated at the end of the season.

Canter had just won his PGA Tour card by finishing 7th on the DP World Tour Race to Dubai OOM. By declaring his move before the new year Canter’s spot in the top 10 (not otherwise exempt or excluded) on the OOM can be taken by Dan Brown.

Canter said of his return to LIV “Joining Majesticks GC is an incredible opportunity to be part of a team that has helped shape LIV Golf from day one. The league’s growth has been remarkable and my experience in the league has led me to become a more complete player and a multiple winner on the DP World Tour. To return to the league with Majesticks GC is a huge honour, and they bring a standard of excellence, ambition, and identity that really resonates with me. I can’t wait to get started and contribute to what this team is building.”

Canter will begin his time with the Majestics at the second event of their season at LIV Golf Riyadh presented by ROSHN Group on February 4-7.
