Nelly Korda wins the first Major of the year in dominant fashion finishing at –18 which was five shots ahead of her nearest competitors, Ruoning (Ronny) Yin and Petty Tavatanakit. Korda started the day with a five shot lead and was able to maintain that through to the finish. Korda has played in the final group of each of the five tournaments she has played this year and continues her amazing form with the worst finish of the year being second.
Best of the Ozzies was Hannah Green who had a great final round of four under 68 to finish in a tie for seventh. Cassie Porter had a disappointing final round two over to finish T34. Grace Kim seems to be slightly out of form with a MC here and her best finish of this LPGA season being a T27 at Aramco back in February. Steph Kyriacou’s run of missed cuts continues with her best finishes of this season being T69 and 71st in the opening events of the 2026 LPGA season.
The win is Korda’s 17th on the LPGA, 21st worldwide and third major following her 2021 PGA and 2024 Chevron Championships. With the win Korda will move back to no. 1 in the Rolex Rankings and will maintain her position as no. 1 in the Race to CME Globe ranking. The American’s win is a boost to the LPGA which continues to fight for clean air and a champion that the viewing public in the USA can rally behind.

It was a home town victory for Ameri Avery as the USC alumna claimed her first professional victory. Avery carded a bogey free final round of two under 70 to win by a single shot over Spaniard Carla Escuder. Avery becomes the first African American to win on either the LPGA or Epson Tour. That path was paved by women such as the amazing Althea Gibson who won both Wimbledon and the US Open before turning to pro golf.
Ozzie Jennifer Elliot could only muster a one over 73 in the final round and finished T33. Even though it is the secondary tour to the LPGA the pickings are still slim for the women playing here. Elliot earned $1,466 for her week’s work before accounting for travel, accommodation etc.
Ameri Avery 1st – USD $30,000
Jennifer Elliot T33 - $1,466

Winning for the first time never gets old or boring. Englishwomen Esme Hamilton showed al the emotions of what it means to win when she holed her final putt on the 72nd hole. Hamilton obviously a poplar winner on tour as she was completely surrounded by, and soaked by her friends on tour after the win.

Matt Fitzpatrick continues his hot streak with another win, this time with his brother Alex in this team format. The win was set up with a blistering fifteen under round of 57 on Saturday in the best ball format. In Sunday’s alternate shot format the Fitzpatrick duo struggled and were even par after seventeen holes and tied for the lead with two other teams.
Needing a birdie on the 72nd hole to avoid a playoff Matt hit a piping drive and Alex then put the second shot into the front bunker leaving Matt a testing 35 yard bunker shot to the hole. With memories of his US Open victory Matt played a glorious bunker shot to less than a foot which secured a birdie and the win.
The win gives Alex Fitzpatrick status on the PGA Tour for the rest of this season and the following two years.
