WEEK 4– WEEKLY WRAP
WEEK 4 saw some of the big guns start their seasons on the PGA Tour. Scottie Scheffler, Ludvig Aberg and Justin Rose. The PGA Champions Tour got underway for 2026 in Hawaii and the first DP World Tour Rolex event for the season is in Dubai.

Overnight leader Jordan Doull tried hard to give Cameron John his 3rd win of the season. Leading by two shots with 2 holes to play Doull double bogeyed the 17th to give John a sniff of victory. They both then finished -12 and it would take four play-off holes before Doull prevailed after John missed a short birdie putt. Whilst Doull had the victory John’s second place means he claims the coveted 1st place on the OOM.

Surprise, surprise, Scottie Scheffler wins another golf Tournament. Scheffler playing his first tournament of the 2026 season shot a final round 64 to win by four shots over Ozzie Jason Day and three others at -23. The win is Scheffler’s 20th on the PGA Tour.

American Ian Holt held on to his 54 hole lead to register his maiden KF Tour victory at the Abaco Classic. With five bogeys and 5 birdies in his first 17 holes of the final round Holt made a clutch birdie on 18 to secure a one shot win with a 1 under 71.

Stewart Cink goes back to back over two seasons. Cink won the season finale in 2025 and now the first event of the 2026 season. Only two Ozzies made the trip to Hawaii and neither Richard Green nor Steve Allen really challenged.

LIV golfer Patrick Reed secured his first non co-sanctioned win on the DP World Tour with a closing round of -1 for a four shot victory at the Emirates GC. No one really threatened Reed in the final round.
For the Ozzies, new LIV recruit Elvis Smylie missed the cut. Highest Ozzie finisher was David Micheluzzie at T49 who registers his first points for this seasons OOM.

Swede Michael Jonzon was the medallist at the Legends Tour Q School. With 4 cards up for grabs the other three winners were Englishman Paul Streeter and Frenchman Anthony Grenier, and Northern Ireland’s Cameron Clark.

In the Avondale Bowl (women) Ella Scaysbrook made it two in a row in a dominant six shot win over Alicia Luo. Australia’s highest ranked female amateur, Reagon Denton was third.
In the Avondale Medal (men) Kayun Mudadana had a one shot win over Englishman Jamie Van Wyk. Third was Joshua Fuller.
