It's a new year and the golf action kicks off with a bunch of Ozzies at the LIV Golf Promotion event, Webex Perth and the start of the KFT season.

WEEK 2 – WHAT’S ON THIS WEEK

WEEK 2 of 2026 sees the first competitive golf for the year. LIV Golf kicks of the year with it’s Promotional Tournament in the USA. The KFT gets underway in the Bahamas and the Ozzie men and women continue the Webex Players Series in Perth.

LIV Golf

Tournament: LIV Golf Promotions

Dates: 8-11 January

Course: Black Diamond Ranch GC, Florida

Purse: USD $1.5M

Ozzies in the field: /Starting in Round 1 - Travis Smyth, Denzel Ieremia (NZ), Cory Crawford, Nick Voke (NZ), Josh Geary (NZ), Harrison Crowe, Cameron John, Will Florimo, Anthony Quayle, Jack Buchanan, Jason Scrivener, Brett Drewitt. Starting in round 2 – Wade Ormsby, Christopher Wood, Ben Campbell (NZ), Matt Jones,

LIV recently announced that top three finishers will gain entry to the 2026 LIV Golf League. The top ten, including ties, gain entry to the 2026 International Series played on the Asian Tour. There is a cut after each of the four rounds. After round one top 20 and ties advance to round two. Scores reset and another twenty players with exemption to round two enter the fray. After round two top twenty and ties advance to rounds 3 & 4. Scores are reset after round two and everyone plays the final two rounds.

Plenty of Ozzie interest with nine players starting in round one and a further three joining in round two. Recently demoted Ripper player Matt Jones is teeing it up trying to get back onto the tour.

WPGA & PGA Tour of Australasia

Tournament: Webex Players Series Perth hosted by Minjee and Min Woo Lee

Dates: 8-11 January

Course: Royal Fremantle GC

Purse: AUD $250,000

Men and women again competing for the single title and prizemoney. On the men’s side the race for Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia OOM points kicks off again. With OOM leader Chris Wood and also Will Florimo, and Cameron John playing in the LIV Promotional event this is a good opportunity for those in close proximity to make up some ground. On the women’s side plenty of great talent headed up by WA’s Kirsten Rudgeley and young gun Hannah Reaves. Whitney Hiller also playing on an invite. Expect a strong showing from James Marchesani and also look out for Jeffrey Guan.

Korn Ferry Tour

Tournament: The Bahamas Golf Classic at Atlantis Paradise Island

Dates: 11-14 January

Course: The Ocean Club GC at Atlantis

Purse: USD $1.0M

Ozzies in the field: Harry Hiller (NZ),

Disappointing that we won’t see too many Ozzies on KFT this year. But as always it is a great tour to follow and see who is going to jump onto or back onto the PGA Tour at seasons end. Also this year we see some former PGA Tour regulars teeing it up on KFT like Zac Blair, Cameron Champ and Will Gordon.
