WEEK 10 – WHAT’S ON THIS WEEK

LPGA

Tournament: Blue Bay

Dates: 5-8 March

Course: Jian Lake Blue Bay Course, Hainan Island, China

Purse: USD $2.6M

Ozzies in the field: Robyn Choi

A very strange week on the LPGA with the only Ozzie entered being Robyn Choi. All our other Ozzie women no doubt wandering back to Oz to get ready to play the Australian Women’s Open at Kooyonga next week.

With most of the top players skipping this event it is a great opportunity for those without great status to get a start and earn some valuable OOM points.

EPSON TOUR

Tournament: Atlantic Beach Classic

Dates: 5-7 March

Course: Atlantic Beach Country Club

Purse: USD $250,000

Ozzies in the field: Jennifer Elliot

The Epson Tour kicks of for 2026 in Florida. Only one Ozzie women is playing the Epson Tour this year and The Western Australian is in the filed this week to start her season.

LET and WPGA

Tournament: WPGA Australian Women’s Classic

Dates: 5-8 March

Course: Magenta Shores Golf and Country Club

Purse: AUD $600,000

Ozzies in the field: Kelsey Bennett, Kirsten Rudgeley, Madison Hinson-Tolchard, Justice Bosio, Steph Bunque and lots more

Another great opportunity to watch some of our best Ozzie women and some of Europe’s best as well. Hopefully the weather is kinder than last week at Wollongong but the forecast for the weekend looks a bit grim at this stage.

Kirsten Rudgeley had an outlier day in round 1 last week and then played round two at five under. Expect Rudgeley to have a much better week at Magenta Shores. Justice Bosio holds the course record here so clearly likes the course and whilst our pick for last week didn’t quite get to the first page of the leaderboard she may well be in contention come this Sunday. Kelsey Bennet didn’t have the final round she would have been looking for last week but is building her season and may threaten again this week.

The field is strengthened this week by Casandra Alexander, the South African who finished fourth on the OOM last year. She will be looking to win the OOM this year and she starts her Ozzie swing at Magenta Shores this week.

PGA Tour of Australasia & Japan Tour

Tournament: ISPS HANDA Japan-Australasia Championship

Dates: 5-8 March 2026

Course: Royal Auckland 7 Grange GC

Purse: AUD $1.2M

Ozzies in the field: Lots

A new event for the calendar this is a collaboration between the Challenger Tour of Australasia and the Japan Tour. It is the final event of the NZ swing and the last chance for contenders to accumulate big points for the OOM. A win here for one of the Ozzie men on the Australasian Tour would cement that first place and book a ticket to the DP World Tour next season.

PGA Tour

Tournament: The Arnold Palmer Invitational

Dates: 5-8 March

Course: Bay Hill

Purse: USD $20M

Ozzies in the field: Jason Day, Min Woo Lee, Adam Scott, Ryan Fox (NZ)

Just another signature event for the top 50 on the fedexCup list to cement those positions and make it harder for others to join their club. A classic event with 28 of the top 30 players in the world teeing it up.

If Scottie Scheffler can get through Thursday better than he has managed his last few events he will be hard to beat.

PGA Tour

Tournament: Puerto Rico Open

Dates: 5-8 March

Course: Grand Reserve Golf Club

Purse: USD $4M

Ozzies in the field: NIL

They will have their reasons for not playing but this would seem like an opportunity for players like Karl Vilips and Cam Davis to try and get some valuable FedexCup points.

The big interest will be John Daly II, son of Major winner John Daly. Junior is playing on a sponsors invite.

Korn Ferry Tour

Tournament: Astara Chile Classic

Dates:5-8 March

Course: Prince of Wales Country Club

Purse: USD $1M

Ozzies in the field: Rhein Gibson

PGA Champions Tour

Tournament: James Hardie Pro Football of Fame Invitational

Dates: 6-8 March

Course: The Old Course at Broken Sound Club

Purse: USD $2.2M

Ozzies in the field: Michael Wright, Mark Hensby, Stuart Appleby, Greg Chalmers, Steve Allan

The old guys are back on the mainland USA.

DP World Tour & Sunshine Tour

Tournament: Joburg OPen

Dates: 5-8 March

Course: Houghton GC, Johannesburg

Purse: ZAR 20,500,000

Ozzies in the field: Jason Scrivener, Austin Batista

The final tournament of the International Swing for the DP World Tour. Most of the Ozzies will be found in Auckland or having the week off. Can Casey Jarvis make three in a row

JLPGA

The JLPGA starts this week with the Dailin Orchid Ladies Tournament. There are no Ozzies playing this tour so it will not be part of our weekly list of tournaments.

LIV Golf

Tournament: LIV Golf Hong Kong

Dates: 5-8 March

Course: Hong Kong Golf Club Fanling

Purse: USD $30M

Ozzies in the field: Ripper Gc with Cam Smith, Marc Leishmann, Lucas Herbert and Elvis Smylie. Wade Ormsby for High Flyers replacing Phil Mickelson

Mickelson misses another week and Ozzie Wade Ormsby is his replacement again following his inclusion in LIV Adelaide. Otherwise it is the same 57 players who played the last tournament.
