The second Major of the year for the women and it is at the famed Riviera CC in LA. The PGA has one of it's biggest signature events of the year, the Memorial, at Jack's place up against the US Women's Open. Great teamwork. A young Ozzie star gets a start o the LET access Tour in France.

What's on This Week - Week 23

LPGA

Tournament: US Women’s Open

Dates: 4 – 7 June

Course: The Riviera Country Club, Pacific Palisades, CA

Purse: USD $12.0M

Ozzies in the field: Minjee Lee, Hannah Green, Grace Kim, Steph Kyriacou, Karis Davidson, Sarah Hammett (a)

The second women’s major of the year is at the iconic Riviera Country Club. Hot favourite will be Nelly Korda but our ow Ozzie Hannah Green must go in with strong chances having notched up four wins this year already. She has had a couple of weeks back home in Perth and will be ready to go in LA. Minjee Lee is just too good to ignore in any consideration of who might win this week. She is all class and has the pedigree to get the job done.

The other three players that might be worth keeping an eye on are the two Englishwomen Lottie Woad and Charlie Hull and young gun Canadian Anna Huang.

Woad does not seem to understand pressure and her recent win at the Kroger Queen Classic shows she comes into this week with some recent form.

Charlie Hull is teeing it up at a US Women’s Open for the 12th time with her best result being in 2023 at Pebble Beach where she stormed home on Sunday with a 66 to finish second.

Huang just recorded her third win on the LET and she is only 17. Her first two wins were last year when she was 16 so the Canadian prodigy is no stranger to being at the top of leaderboards. Clearly the US Open is a different issue but this youngster has plenty of game and it will not surprise if she does will this week.
