PGA Tour

Tournament: Wyndham Classic

Dates: 6-9 August

Course: Sedgefield County Club, Greensboro, NC

Purse: USD $8.5M

Ozzies in the field: Jason Day, Cam Davis, Karl Vilips

This is the last hurrah for the regular season before FedexCup playoffs start next week. Day sits just outside (75th) the cutoff for playoffs so needs a god week to get back into the top 70. Davis cannot get to the top 70 even with a win and Vilips would need to win but they both really just need to make the cut, earn some points (and $$) to launch themselves into the fall season.

The interest this week will be the bubble cutoff for the playoffs which is top 70 on FedexCup points. Jordan Smith is at 68th, Steven

Fisk is 69th, Jackson Koivin is 70th, Mac Meissner 71st, Keegan Bradley 72nd, Andrew Putnam 73rd, Johnny Keefer 74th and Day at 75th.As things stand Day is going to have to finish in a two-way tie for 12th to squeeze into the top 70 although this will change if those above him make the cut and earn points.
