LPGA
Tournament: BMW Ladies Championship
Dates: 22-25 October
Course: Pine Beach Golf Links, Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, Republic of Korea
Purse: USD $2.35M
Ozzies in the field: Minjee Lee, Grace Kim, Cassie Porter, Robyn Choi, Karis Davidson
The women of the LPGA stay in Asia this week as they travel to the Republic of Korea, one of the strongholds of women’s golf. Haeran Ryu, Hye-Jin Choi and Hyo Joo Kim lead the strong Korean contingent. For the Ozzies Hannah Green might still be carrying the sticks for hubby Jarryd Felton as she is not playing this week. Steph Kyriacou and Hira Naveed will be back stateside getting ready for Qualifying Stage of LPGA Q-Series.
LET
Tournament: Hero Women’s Indian Open
Dates: 22-25 October
Course: DLF Golf and Country Club, Delhi
Purse:USD $500,000
Ozzies in the field: Madison Hinson-Tolchard, Justice Bosio, Momoka Kobori (NZ), Whitney Hillier, Belinda Ji

A big week for Whitney Hillier as she tries to stay inside the top 70 on the OOM. This is probably Hillier’s last chance to improve her ranking as she will not get entry to the next two tournaments which have limited fields.
Steph Bunque is not playing this week which is a surprise as she too needs to hang onto her OOM spot (61st) and will not get into the next two tournaments. Then it is the season finale in Spain and only the top 64 players qualify.
LETAS
Tournament: Super Bock Ladies Open
Dates: 20-22 October
Course: Vidago Palace Golf
Purse: €50,000
Ozzies in the field: Hannah Reeves

Hannah Reeves is hanging onto her chance of cracking the top seven on the OOM and getting a full LET card for next season. She is playing the three remaining tournaments so is giving herself every chance. Reeves is 242 points away from 7th position so assuming those top players also earn points over the remainder of the season she is going to need three good finishes to achieve her goal. First place receives 500 points and second place gets 320.
Kristalle Blum is having a week off the LETAS and is playing the Players Championship at Willunga SA, a home game for her. Belinda Ji, who has had two great weeks on LETAS recently, is playing the LET event in India.
PGA Tour of Australasia & WPGA
Tournament: Players Series South Australia
Dates: 22-25 October
Course: Willunga Golf Course
Purse: AUD $200,000

The Ozzie season is well and truly in gear as the players head east into South Australia for the first of the five Players Series tournaments. In these tournaments both men and women compete for the same trophy. South Australian’s Caitlin Peirce who plays on the Epson Tour is teeing it up as is LETAS player Kristalle Blum.

The first of the three Champions Tour playoffs. This week the field is 72 and Mathew Goggin with only 9 starts, many of them Monday qualifying, scraped into the field at no 69. Only the top 54 on the points list progress to next weeks tournament. After that the top 36 play the season finale and it is those 36 players who are guaranteed full playing rights next year.
DP World Tour
Tournament: Genesis Championship
Dates: 22-25 October
Course: Woo Jeong Hills CC, Cheonan, South Korea
Purse: USD $4.0M
Ozzies in the field: Jason Scrivener, David Micheluzzie, Dan Hillier (NZ), Kazuma Kobori (NZ), Elvis Smylie, Ryan fox (NZ)

The final regular season tournament is in Korea and it really is a shame that the battle for playing status is in a limited field event. Whilst the back nine concept has much going for it (including great tv times for Ozzies) we are denied the drama of all the bubble players competing this week.
There is plenty to play for – as well as the win players are vying to get into the top 70 on the Race to Dubai to play the first end of season playoff event, the Abu Dhabi Championship.
Legends Tour
Tournament: Sergio Melpignano Senio Italian Open
