Some of our regular Ozzies return to action this week. Kirsten Rudgeley hasn’t played since the La Sella Open in mid-September and Kelsey Bennett has had a couple of weeks off. Justice Bosio and Sarah Kemp are playing on invitation whilst Whitney Hiller is 2nd reserve and would love a call up to try and get herself back into the top 70 of the OOM.

With only three tournaments left before the end of season CME Group Tour Championship it’s time for Robyn Choi and Karis Davidson to keep scoring well. Only the top 60 get into the Championship and Davidson is at no. 58 and Choi is at 72.
PGA Tour
Tournament: VidantaWorld Mexico Open
Dates: 29 October – 1 November
Course: Vidanta Vallarta
Purse: USD $6.0M
Ozzies in the field: Cam Davis, Aaron Baddeley

Cam Davis showed a glimpse of form last week and he will need to continue that trend to have any hope of securing some sort of playing rights next year. His exemption for winning the 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic runs out this year and he sits at no. 190 on the FedExCup rankings. He needs to get into the 101- 125 bracket to have conditional playing status next year. Positions 126-150 get automatic status on Korn Ferry Tour and otherwise its back to Q school where there are only 5 cards available for the PGA Tour.
PGA Champions Tour
Tournament: Simmons Bank Championship
Dates:30 October – 1 November
Course: Pleasant Valley Country Club
Purse: USD $2.3M
Ozzies in the field: Steve Allan, Steve Alker (NZ), Greg Chalmers, Richard Green, Scott Hend, Cam Percy, Michael Wright

The second last tournament of the old guy’s season so only two more chances to get the Ozzie win this year. Richard Green flew the flag in 2025 with his win at the Rogers Charity Classic but we haven’t been able to get a win this year.
Steve Allen and Greg Chalmers need to finish in the top half of the field to secure a place in the Charles Schwab Cup Championship. They sit at no 36 & 35 respectively in the points list and only the top 36 after this tournament progress to the season finale. It is also those top 36 who get full exempt status for 2027.

Some big old names are lining up for this Senior Championship. Matthew Goggin is fresh back from his stint on the PGA Champions Tour. It's a threePete for Peter O’Malley, Peter Senior and Peter Lonard who are in the field alongside Peter (Chook) Fowler, Scott Laycock & Michael Harwood
Asia Pacific Amateur Championship

The AAC is being played at the magnificent Te Arai Links (south course) in New Zealand from 29 October to 1 November. The championship brings together the top amateur golfers from Asia.
This is a 72 hole stroke play event with a cut after 36 holes to the top 60 and ties. This will be worth watching just to see the golf course but the talent on show will make it a must see. Australia’s team is headed by Harry Takis and features a mix of youth and experience.
The winner receives an invite to The Masters and The Open so there is plenty to play for in addition to the honour of representing your country. Australia’s last winner was Jasper Stubbs in 2023 and he is now hitting his straps in the pro game.
