What's on This Week - Week 45
Lots of Q School action for men and women in the USA and men in Europe. The DP World Tour playoffs start and the final tournaments of the LET and LPGA draw near so bubble watch is on for those players fighting to keep cards. The PGA Tour meanders on through the fall season.

DP World Tour
Tournament: Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship 2026
Dates: 5-8 November
Course: Yas Links GC, Abu Dhabi UAE
Purse: USD $9.0M
Ozzies in the field Adam Scott, Dan Hillier (NZ)
This is the first of the two Playoff events for the DP World Tour and plenty of big names are rolling up. Jon Rahm, Tommy Fleetwood, Aaron Rai, Tyrell Hatton et al. However there are a bunch of big names NOT playing this week – Shane Lowry, Ryan Fox, Matt Fitzpatrick, Robert McIntyre, Ludvig Aberg, Justin Rose, Min Woo Lee.
Australia’s only representative is Adam Scott and the effervescent Queenslander is certainly capable of winning this week.
The main interest may lay in the battle for the Race to Dubai between Eugenia Chacarra, McIlroy and P. Reed. Chacarra has nearly 700 points lead over Reed with McIlroy a further 300 points back in third. The winner this week picks up 1500 points and second 1000 points so there really isn’t much separating the three.
LPGA
Tournament: TOTO Japan Classic
Dates: 5-8 November
Course: Taiheiyo Club, Omitama, Ibaraki, Japan
Purse: USD $2.1M
Ozzies in the field: Minjee Lee, Hannah Green, Robyn Choi

The second last event of the regular season on the LPGA and the main interest of Ozzies is how Robyn Choi perform as she is on the bubble of getting into the end of season championship. Choi has probably done enough to secure her card but only the top 60 get into the CME Globe Championship so she will have to play well. Choi is sitting at no. 60 sdtarting the week. Karis Davidson, at no. 52, is sitting out this week and must have done the calculations that she is safely in the top 60.
LPGA
Tournament: Q Series Qualifying (second) Stage
Dates: 3-6 November
Course: Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Florida
Purse:
Ozzies in the field: Maddison Hinson-Tolchard, Steph Kyriacou, Hira Naveed, Ella Scaysbrook (a), Amelia Garvey (NZ)

Ella Scaysbrook continues her Q Series journey after coming through Pre-Qualifying. Steph Kyriacou and Hira Naveed finished outside the top 150 of the LPGA rankings as of the cut-off date so have to start their Q Series adventure this week. Maddison Hinson-Tolchard plays on the LET and she gets a start courtesy of her World Ranking within the top 400, as does Kiwi Amelia Garvey.
The tournament was originally scheduled for October but had to be rescheduled due to bad weather and honestly bad planning. The weather in Florida at this time of year is often horrendous.
The area of the course has received lots more rain and images of the course show fairways underwater. Hopefully these players can get a fair crack at this tournament and the conditions improve.
Good luck to our Ozzie women this week. As we go to print the first round has just finished and the scores are:
Amelia Garvey (NZ) T3
Maddison Hinson-Tolchard T65
Steph Kyriacou T100
Ella Scaysbrook T112
Hira Naveed T112
It’s only the first round of FIVE so there is still a long way to go and plenty of opportunity for all of them to get up the leaderboard. Last year the top 50 advanced to final qualifying.
LET
Tournament: Aramco China Championship
Dates: 5-8 November
Course: Mission Hills China (World Cup Course)
Purse: USD $2.0M
Ozzies in the field: Kelsey Bennett, Kirsten Rudgeley, Justice Bosio, Sarah Kemp, Whitney Hillier, Momoka Kobori (NZ)

This is the last event of the regular season for the LET and just like the LPGA the real interest is in who will keep their card and also who will get into the season ending championship. The top 70 keep full playing rights for next season and the top 64 get in the Andalucia Costa del Sol Open de Espana Championship.
Kelsey Bennett (3rd), Kirsten Rudgeley (31st), and Justice Bosio (36th) are all safe. Maddison Hinson Tolchard is at 53 but not playing this week as she is in the USA for second stage of LPGA Q Series. She is safe for her playing card and should be good for the Championship. The rest are more edgy.
Steph Bunque is at 66 and NOT playing this week. She slipped two places last week without playing so hopefully she stays in that top 70.
Sarah Kemp is at 72 so needs to move up two places to earn a full card for next year. Whilst she is USA based, she does not have any status on the LPGA so might be looking at European starts next season.
Whitney Hillier starts the week at no. 78 so needs a really good week to jump into the top 70 although 71-80 would give her some starts at the beginning of next season in Category 15 which is one ahead of the Q School qualifiers. She would need to perform well early before the first re-shuffle in June 2027.
So good luck to all our Ozzie women as we want to see as many as possible playing the LET next season.
PGA Tour
Tournament: World Wide Technology Championship
Dates: 5-8 November
Course: El Cardonal at Diamante, Los Cabos, Mexico
Purse: USD $6.0M
Ozzies in the field: Cam Davis, Karl Vilips

The PGA Tour stays in Mexico this week and another chance for Cam Davis to improve his position on the FedexCup rankings. He currently sits at no. 170 and needs to crack the top 125 for any decent playing status next season. His exemption for winning the 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic expires at the end of this season so if he doesn’t improve his ranking it might be off to Q School. If he stays in the top 200 he probably gets direct entry to Final Stage in December. That category is restricted to the first 40 players between 101 and 200.
PGA Tour
Tournament: Q School First Stage (5 venues)
Dates: 3-6 November
Course: California (2), Arizona, Florida, Mississippi
Purse:
Ozzies in the field: Grant Booth, Sid Nadimpalli, Sam Slater, Danny List, Jye Pickin, Jed Morgan, Brody Harbinson

This is the final five out of fourteen events of First Stage. In the first nine events only Harrison Endycott advanced to Second Stage.
DP World Tour
Tournament: Q School Final Stage
Dates: 6-11 November (NINETY HOLES)
Course: INFINITUM Golf, Tarragona, Spain
Purse: USD $
Ozzies in the field: Jason Scrivener, Anthony Quayle, Jack Buchanan, Kevin Yuan, Will Florimo, Haydn Barron, Cameron John, Elvis Smylie, Sam Jones (NZ)

As it stands there are no Ozzies who are regular DP World Tour players with full status for next season. Jason Scrivener has Category 19 which doesn’t get you many starts and definitely no certainty as to where you are playing.
We desperately need some of these guys to get through this week. It is a gruelling 5 rounds of golf with enormous pressure.
